I'm going to get 5 grand from different sources pretty soon and not sure what to get. I could get a civic, but an acura would be faster, and most 1992 Prelude Si's are a grand or 2 out of my range. So right now im considering the integra in years of 1990-1992. Any suggestions? I don't like the boxy style too much, like the older 240sxs, the pre-1992 preludes and 88/89 integras, etc.. I kind of dont want it to be too slow, but it doesnt need to be fast, like the acura integra 1990 gs, would bewhat im aiming at, just seeing if anyone else has any other suggestions.

go for a hatchback....they dont weight as much and cheap... if u want speed later on u cna slap a turbo in there and u'll have a pretty quicl hb...

but integras are my fav....its really what you want...speed or looks... but beways good luck...

Get the newest Integra you can find. That generation goes from 1990 to 1993.

what is S13, DA9 and EG6? another question? How much a turbo cost, and what do you think the fastest car an stock integra will be able to beat?

I would hate to see the condition of a 1994 Integra going for 5 grand...

S13 is from 89-94 ( however in 94 only the cabriolet was made)
EG6 is 92-95 civic

Wouldn't the civic be hella slow though? My friend has a 95 civic, and he's done stuff to it, cold air intake, and a couple other things, and he got brutally beat by a 240sx everything stock, and i was in the civic, so i know how bad it lost.

Eagle talon base models aren't much faster than integras.. And i like the integra look better IMO

when u say tc, if u r refering to what sin said, he said fc, which is 2nd generation rx7, mid/late 80's- early 90's i believe

Wow. these rx-7's are pretty fast. even for a stock 88 rx-7, its short 4 hp of the integra gs-r

but a gs-r is the highest model correct? if you got a FC3S TII it would slay a gs-r. not to mention if properly maintained the 13b is a very strong engine (it's a rotary)... if you wait a couple of replies, im sure one of the many rx-7 experts on the board will chime in... they'll be able to give you much more in depth, entirely correct information. if they dont, try pm'ing maxt.. i think thats it anyway.

Yah thats true. the gs-r is the top integra for the earlier years. So an Integra or an old rx-7 , civics are too slow, and well i dont see much other choice in my price range. thanks guys.
