IS300 Wagon...?

Mcloed trail 3 days ago, saw a dark metallic grey IS300 Wagon, and from what i was lead to believe they were never sold in north america....am i un-informed or what?
anyway they are quite nice and i wish we DID get them.

i remember when I wanted an IS300, i was looking on the lexus.ca site, I was checking out the sportcross (Wagon) version, but I never went to the dealership for a test drive.

yes you are uninformed :D We'e had them for a long time...I am not sure of exact dates but I'd say they came out about 1 year after the sedan did..

Sportcross is rare, but they are most definitely sold here. Overseas, they are offered with optional AWD.

I seen what was probably the same car (a dark metallic grey) around the Shawnessy shopping area this weekend. First one I've ever seen, not too shabby :)

I see one that goes by my store once in awhile. Otherwise I haven't seen any at all. Not even in Vancouver or Richmond, I guess there are many better alternatives...

Toyota started selling the IS wagon for the third yr already ..

but the bottomline is .. who is going to buy it ? they may sell 100 of RX330, and 1 IS wagon ! :dunno: Canadian market is one of the least demanding market in the world .. and anyway, not many people want to buy is300 sedan either, ever with super low interest, huge cash rebate .. just so many choice not .. TSX, TL, G35 .. A4 .. S40 .. STi .. Lagacy GT ... :dunno:

Looking forward to see the new IS ! ( should be coming in 2005 ) :D

Yeah those things are just not really something anyone would honestly want to have.. i mean would you choose one over a normal IS300? Probably not.. and for the price theres so much more out there.

Yeah it would be a sleeper for sure.. but wagons in general its weird to see people get the wagons over the sedans.. like in my neighborhood theres an S4 wagon.. like does that person do a significant amount of hauling to justify getting the wagon over the uber sexy sedan? :nut: I guess its all about priorities..
