Car Insurance Sensors

I heard about it on the news, does anyone have any information on them? Apparantly they'll be voluntary sensors you can have on your car that monitor your driving speeds and stuff, and qualify you for insurance discounts or something.

supposidly the company that wanted to do it in Texas pulled out after a year, They were losing alot of cash.
