big bad boss,
I have a set of stock struts and springs if you're interested. It'll be easier than taking the springs off.

Mike,
That car is hot!! I love the CB Accords. My GF has one...it's a solid car, but it's only a sedan. The wagons look sick with 17's and a mild drop.

Sandino,
I should stop by and take you for a rip. I just put my new cams in today and tuned it. I'll take you for a rip...it's still not done yet, but I think I may have a new tranny in it next weekend. I took Dave out last night in it, but it's running a lot better after the work I did today. You should give me a call this weekend...or possibly tomorrow afternoon. I'll be close to downtown then, if you're interested.

Did you try turning the shaft with your fingers before you put it in? lol Silly question asking YOU that but hey maybe you forgot. I'm thinking maybe the barings are shot which would cause considerable drag. It happened in one of my tegs in the past. It got so stiff it caused the timing belt to slip.

Corey, I'll bring a distributor out with me today. Are you going to be at work this afternoon? I'm heading up to Speedtech, so I can just drop it off for you. Feel free to take it apart and use the parts out of it. I wonder if you still have a bad part in there.

err i did it, along with a bunch of other threads

seriously the easiest way to do it is enable quick launch on your task bar, save the first page of this thread in your favorites, then drag that favorite down to your quick launch. then this thread is always just a click away haha

the stickies were getting out of hand, there were like 14 stuck threads. it was annoying.

I think this is a good idea. Each section representing a manufacturer and within each manufacturer the specific threads (ie: HONDA-Accord-Civic-Oddessey, ACURA- NSX-CL-Integra, etc.)

Why a B18B? It's exaclty the same as what you already have, well with the exception of some very minor differences.

That layout looks really good though. I think that could work on this site...just need to talk to someone who can do it.

Hey got a question for y'all.

I had a lowered 91 GS, and the other day FR helped me to put back the stock springs. However, we were not able to compress the front ones enough to put the springs and struts together.

My question is: Is a an issue driving with front ones 1.5" or so lowered, and back ones stock? Would that put more weight on the front?? I wanted back to stock cuz I didn't want to watch out for every pot hole or speed bump ;-)

frostyda9
12-19-2005, 06:06 PM
Talonstylz - check Walmart. They probably won't have the 2 car set, but they may have the 1/43 car on it's own (and they are CHEAP at WM, probably under $4). IMO, the 1/64 cars are just too small, you lose too much detail.

If you can't find one at all, I'll send you one....I spend way too much time at PM so it wouldn't be much out of my way to pick one up for you.

You're going to have some wierd allignment issues here. Your rears are going to be a little out assuming that you got an allignment after you lowered the car. But realistically, you just have a lot of rake to the car....I bet it looks like an old muscle car with that stance. If you want, I still have those OEM springs and struts. I might be easier than trying to piss around with your struts....this way, you just unbolt one, and put the other one in there. If you're sick of those drop springs, I'll trade you for my full set of OEM springs and struts.

Yes im still looking for some one piece headlights. Think this is a good deal? found some @ optionjdm:

Item#: JDMDAOPH
Price: CDN $260.00

"Hi,
These headlights are used right? what exactly comes with it and how is the condition
its in?
I'm really interested in buying these.
how much is the total including shipping to to Calgary, AB.

Thanks!

-Andrew

Hey Andrew, The headlights are used. It comes with the headlights, you just plug
in your existing wiring into it and it will work. The condition of the headlights
are good considering their age of 15 years. Shipping is about 20 dollars. You can
order through the and well have them shipped out, takes about 2-3 business days
from us to you.

Thanks Jonathan Young Sales Manager 416-297-5788

"

if i get these.. i dont want HID cause i heard it'll be a messy beam of light cause their not projectors. i want a nice tint of blue and bright. suggestion?

freakin
12-21-2005, 04:23 PM
That's a rip off. You should be able to find a set for $150 by the time you get them in your hands. Their wiring harness makes things easier, but it's not exactly hard to wire the lights in yourself. I think I spent 2 hours total putting mine in...and that included taking the bumper off and installing the lights on top of the wiring. All of the colors are the same as the USDM. Just make sure that your lights come with at least an inch or two of wires on the plugs and good bulbs.

I'd try JDM Source or Speedtech before spending $260 on them.

Sorry to inform you Dan, but I can't sell the rods anymore. I've decided to build another B20 and I need them for it. That's also why I'm selling off all of my parts. I'm trying to find a hatch to put it in as well.

Anyone want a fast Volvo for a winter car? :burnout:

Hey Andrew, The headlights are used. It comes with the headlights, you just plug

are good considering their age of 15 years. Shipping is about 20 dollars. You can
order through the and well have them shipped out, takes about 2-3 business days

i've been asking for the one piece from jdmsource for about 2 months now and still nothing. i keep calling and asking bi-weekly like he suggests and nothing. i gave him my # to call back when he gets a set in a month and a half ago and still nothing.
speedtech - i said before they wanted to charge me 700 bucks for it though on the website it said150. im sick of dealing with them.

I know that they have at least one set sitting in Speedtech. I'd just go in with cash and make them an offer on them. I'm sure you could get them under $200....pricing seems to depend on who you ask. The person on the phone might have though you were talking about the ITR 1-piece HID headlights.

I think I paid $800-$900ish....I can't remember though. Does Mopac carry Crower? I'd definately pick up a set for a high HP setup.

Matt, I saw a 88 Legend at PYP today, but the front calipers were gone. I'm not sure it that's the year you're looking for either. TONS of EF's though. When I pulled into the parking lot I look over and see Sandino's old Teg.
I went to Buck's Auto and there as a DA9 sitting out front. A quick glance shows it to be a GS 90-91 with some mods (mostly ricer ones though- exhaust, aluminum shift knob, 17's etc). Some damage to the rear driver's quarter panel. No plate and it looks like it's been sitting there for a while. Probably waiting to be processed. No guarantee as to when it'll go into the boneyard for picking. Buck's rule right now is that any cars in the parking lot are hands off.
I also saw a 3rd gen Integra in the lot. I think it was the one from the Heritage and 11th St. accident.

woo, I could use a lot of parts from that 3G. I'm trying to find an EG of EF...that EG could definately use some parts from that car.
That's where I found that DA with leather as well.

I think I need a 93-95 legend, but I haven't been able to confirm that yet.....thanks for checking though!

Awww, thanks Dan. Always so thoughtful.

So I think I've found my project (A clean EF shell). But I need a Driver's side CV shaft from a G2 teg to do the B-series swap. Mike do you still have that one I sold you? Does anyone else have one?

I'd also need some rear brakes/trailing arms etc. if someone's parting out a car. Damn, I with I could've seen this coming. My parts car would've been a perfect donor for this project. Oh well.

:thumbsdow to block gaurds. They distort the cylinder walls, can drop in the water jackets and they block coolant flow. I'm not a fan, but I'm sure others like them. If you're just using a B18A/B, then just run it until you crack it, then get another one. That's what I'm going with my new B20. If I crack a second one, then I'm going to sleeve it.

Sorry Matt, I ended up selling it. Managed to find a buyer for it. Keep track of Buck's Auto. That G2 will eventually make it's way to the yard.

BTW : Merry Christmas everyone!

Merry Christmas everyone!

mike, no worries, I'll just jump on that DA when it goes in. We should have a meet and strip the car, lol. Actually, I just need a hand taking the rear suspension out, hehe.
