Both the exterior window trims and the rear engine mounts would be hard to come across. You pretty much need to find a wrecker that has one. You also might want to try a guy that goes by na power on here. He might have some of that stuff you're looking for.

freakin
03-23-2007, 12:50 AM
I have the window trim for the left side of a sedan....you can have it if you need it. Rear tranny mount is going to be hard to find because everyone doing an EF B-series swap needs it as well. Luckily I wrecked a couple of tegs recently and kept some parts for myself. Most of it is all gone now.

sorry need window trim for a 90-93. just the left side. if anyone could help. thanks

freakin
03-23-2007, 07:14 PM
So that's a 90-93 2-door that you need then? Sedan's were made from 90-93 as well....which is what the part I have would be used on.

Mike, need some window trim? I know mine ripped at the top of the front driver's side and made a bit of a mess when I'd shut the window while driving.

I'm a lucky boy! My first 1000km of hard VTEC driving and the oil level remains the same as the day I bought it. The only problem is that I'm averaging about 350kms a tank of in city driving and 5K cruising on the highway doesn't do much for fuel economy.

When I drive the old LS it feels like it has the torque of a V8.

What's the problem with the LS dizzy? Most of the parts are interchangable. I've stolen ignitors from LS dizzy's for VTEC units, and vice versa.

You should leave messages when you call. My caller ID hasn't really worked properly since I changed phones....I get the number but it doesn't show me the name even when it's in my phonebook. If I don't recongnize it, I usually don't call it back.

I would've loved a hand on the car. It's damn close now. I'm pretty much just waiting for Darren to finish up my wiring harness so that I can put it back in.....sooooo close

Hey guys, been a while since I posted but I figured I'd toss this up for you guys first, I got my two stock rear tail lens' just sitting in my garage not doing anything so if you need a pair I got you covered.

They are off my 93 GSR no cracks and no leaks. 60.00 bones for both or 35.00 one.

Once my sister gets back with my camera I can snap a few pics if you want.

since this is the g2 integra thread,

i recently crashed my 90 integra w/ B16a1 swap and desperatly need to sell whats left of the car, due to the fact that i dont have collision coverage. unfortunately i havent been a member here for more than 30 days so i cant post it in the marketplace. i would really like to see this engine/car go to someone who appreciates it. if anyone is intersted in the car or even in helping me in posting/selling it, i have pics of it that i can email anyone or pm me for me number to come and see it. i also have a few odd integra parts laying around (taillights, etc.) which i would gladly give to the purchaser or anyone else who helps.

thanks in advance for anyones help.

hey does anybody know what windshield wiper motors will work for my db2??

frozenrice
04-10-2007, 08:31 PM
I think the wiper motor is specific to the 2nd gen Integras. I am assuming you are talking about the sedan (DB1)? Same part number for all years and trim levels for 2nd gens. No matching Acura or Honda models come up when searching on the part number. Here are the sites I used for reference :

Acura Parts (http://www.acuraoemparts.com/delray/jsp/home.jsp)
Honda Parts (http://www.hondaautomotiveparts.com/)

I know some of the part numbers are the same between Honda and Acura and usually they cross reference between the two.

Hey guys, couple questions.

Landlrod left me his old 91 teg to fix up, I'm going to be giving it to a roommate so he has a car but its got a couple issues.

1. When you release the clutch (engaged position) there is some sort of whining/griding noise, when it is disengaged (pedal depressed) the noise goes away.

Is this release bearing or another problem?

2. How do you check CEL codes or do they need to be read? Throwing a CEL as well.

Thats all for now, thanks guys!

frozenrice
04-11-2007, 05:46 PM
Not too sure on the clutch issue. I have an auto (for now).

CEL- This is something I've never done before myself but if I'm not mistaken, you can simply pull back the carpet in the passeger side footwell and remove the metal cover plate. You should see the the ECU now. There should be a light(or window?) somewhere on it and all you need to do is count the flashes and blinks to get your code. Again because of the auto tranny, the gear selection indicator on the dash does the same job as the light on the ECU, so I'm pretty sure - but not 100% on the other method.

QuasarCav
04-11-2007, 05:53 PM
Allgo: I suggest you check out G2ic.com, it will answer all of your questions in depth. I have a copy of the service manual in PDF format if that can be any help.

As for the clutch, does it work normally? Have you tried adjusting the engagement point? How is the fluid level?

AllGoNoShow
04-11-2007, 06:41 PM
Ya she works and drives fine, just the noise.

Sorry for my ignorance guys but I'm normally domestic/BMW lover. How the fuck do you check the level on a manual honda? lol.

Quasar a copy of that manual would be awsome if you could man, I don't think I have any manuals for this thing so anything would be sweet.

[email protected] is my email.

Thanks alot guys!

Remove the filler plug. Stick your finger in the hole and you should have fluid right up to the bottom of the filler hole.

Your noise is your release bearing if it's going away as soon as you put pressure on your clutch pedal....your choices are to live with it if the clutch is working properly or change it out. Adjusting the cable won't do anything for the noise. The fluid level would be making noise all of the time if that was the case.

The CEL on a OBD-0 honda (which your 91 will be unless it's been upgraded) is an LED on the top of the ECU...I'm not sure how to make it flash though. On the OBD-1 cars you have to put a jumper in to a connecter above the ECU, then turn the key to the on position without starting it and count the flashes of the CEL light to get the code. I'd consult honda-tech on that one. I'm sure it's been covered there....pretty common question.

AllGoNoShow
04-12-2007, 05:06 AM
Sweet thanks

I can't tell if it makes the noise all the time while driivng too, theres a rusted out (i think) fart can on the thing and holly hell it makes alot of noise when moving. I'll see if I get less sick tomorrow and check the fluid level and go from there.

If I leave a damaged/worn release bearing in, is it going to cost more next time I change the clutch from other damage?

freakin
04-12-2007, 08:28 AM
A clutch kit will contain a pressure plate, disc, centering tool and release bearing. It gets replaced with everything, so it's not going to cost anything extra. But if you're going in just to replace the bearing, then you might as well replace the clutch because of the hassle to get in there.

Typical kit:

I've got that OBD-0 B16 one sitting in my garage that you can borrow. You know that!! I just need it back once you get yours sorted out. I'll need it for my car eventually....but for now you're welcome to use it.

frozenrice
04-13-2007, 06:50 AM
I think the ES shifter bushing kit is only like $15.00. Doesn't look like it'd be too hard to install either. It was pretty easy when I did it, but that's because the whole shift linkage hasn't been installed yet.

QuasarCav
04-13-2007, 08:29 AM
I will probably come to Chinook and take off after that. I'll bring an assortment of shift knobs for you. and if XSI is there I'll bring the spoiler as well.

I'm replacing the cat-back so while I'm down there I'll do the shifter, Mike is about right on the price. Let me know if you would like to order it and I can just give it to Elaine.

Does anyone have a 32mm socket? I've got to replace my rear bearing soon.

Got a bit of a problem...

Noticed today while I was siting idle in traffic, that my temp gauge was almost at RED  But as I started moving it moved back down to regular operating temp. this happened last summer as well and it turned outI had a leak in my rad, so it got replaced and also so did my water pump and timing belt. So I'm really hoping that there might be something else small that I am overlooking here, and that its not a problem with any of the new parts I just replaced. Anyone got any other ideas? Advice? Thanks.

Have you dont any work to the cooling system lately? How is the rad cap? Is there enough coolant in the overflow bottle?

Lewis, I have a 32mm if you need to use it. Let me know and we can hookup. You can borrow the impact again too.

Josh, make sure you're not loosing coolant even if you don't see any leaks. Not trying to scare you, but make sure you're not burning coolant. It's not likely but I'd check to make sure. Low to no coolant is a disaster waiting to happen. It could also be just your thermostat which I'd say is more than likely than burning coolant.

honda/teg, I'll see if I can make it out. May is going to be crazy for me so I'll have to play it by ear. I'm a family guy, not single like most of you so I have to see how things work out.

I have one if you're not grabing Mike's. I can loan you a breaker bar as well...You're going to need it. It'll only cost you the small sum of returning my O2 sensor socket.

Definately sounds like low coolant. Pull the cap once it's cooled down and check the level. Top it up as well as the resevoir, then look for leaks. My B18A was doing the same before I found a slow leak in my rad. I never saw a puddle or any other sign....just the temp fluctuations....heating really quickly, cooling off when moving, the fan comming on all of the time, etc.

Thanks guys, I think I should be good for the morning to toss in a jug of water or something to top it up, its not getting near freezing now at night, I'll get my friends (guy that was with me on the cruise) to grab me some coolant and drop it off at work since he works at Auto Value and I'll toss it in before going home.

I appreciate all the responses in such a timely fashion!

God bless new jobs, I can actually AFFORD to pay for repairs now.

Oh yeah, does anyone else work in foothills industrial park? If so we should hook up for G2 lunches!:D

Remember when I picked you up at Anderson station and we drove to your house?

I might have to take you up on the offer though.
