oooh shiny! very nice very nice! I love that tip.

Seems my cooling problems have been solved, I was only a little low on coolent so for the handy price of *free* my friend got some for me at Auto Value and it only took maybe half a litre. He also talked to a guy at Silverhill named Richard who thought that maybe due to my previous cooling problems and not having enough coolant and getting really hot and then cooling and then getting hot and so on and so forth that maybe the thermostat got damaged and now it is sticking, so I picked up one of those as well. Going in on Saturday. +1 for knowing people.

Also I'm guessing nobody works in foothills due to the lack of responses... I'm sitting here running the office by myself today and I'm gonna take lunch in about 30min and I got nobody to go with! haha.

Oh yeah I have another queastion you guys might be able to answer, my boss' daughter (seems cute haha) has a 87 Accord EXi and it won't run because its not getting any fuel. the fuel pump only pumps for about 3 seconds then it stops, and the relay clicks just before it comes on and just before it goes off.

Any ideas? Sorry I don't have more info I just got the story from my boss when she came into the office and I haven't seen the car or witnessed this first hand, I'm just going off the best she could describe from her husband. So come on guys answers would be awesome, score the points at work with the boss and the BOSS' DAUGHTER!:bigpimp:

So do we get anything from her if we answer right?
I'd put my money on the fuel relay or the fuel pump or a clogged fuel filter or dirty injectors or anything related to the fuel system. That pretty much covers it all. It's a common Honda problem. When can I claim my prize?

No.:thumbsdow

Yours looks to be a pretty good design though. If it wasn't for the tip and the flanges it looks pretty close to the RSR.

Install party?

It might be a while before I install. Waiting for the rest of the right parts to come in before I can do it. Hopefully soon though......

It was a nice productive weekend...

Changed rear hub/bearing
Front brakes and rotors
Changed PCV
Changed transmission fluid to syncromesh:thumbsup:

It you ever need to buy a 32mm socket buy it from Partsource for 11 as opposed to Crappy tire for 30, the hub was surprisingly easy to change and I removed the spindle nut without using a breaker bar. The hardest part was removing the caliper mounting bracket. Any of you that need your transmission fuild changed should really think about syncromesh, it's pricey @ $9 a litre but this is the second car I've used it on and it makes a super smooth tranny even smoother.

Who would commit to a genuine ITR shift boot fot $40? If I can get 4 other people I'll bring them up here. Yellow would also be available.

They would take about 2 weeks to come, I dont need money up front because I could sell them on the open market for more.

It's a nice boot and it's not aftermarket, it's OEM which I'm all about!

BTW, the last few times I've driven down Deerfoot, I have seen a red DA at Buck's Auto if anyone is looking for parts. It's right along the chainlink fence alongside Deerfoot. Colin here's your chance to snag those mirrors that you're looking for. If anyone does happen to go before I get there, can they snag the rear tailights and the rear wiper for me?

So I hate big puddles. My car is sitting at factory height, and I went through this huge puddle by my house, really slow. And it still managed to pull my front lip right off. Broke it into peices too. So, if anyone has a front lip laying around? Please toss it my way......

That sucks man. Sorry I don't have one or else I'd get it to you.

So who's all in for Saturday still in regards to the weather?

Also anyone here that knows how to remove the AC from the tegs? I wanna start shaving down weight for this summer.

The beer and pizza is on me if you guys wanna come over help me do it and kinda have a mini party. We won't do it at my apt. but we'll do it at my parents house since they have all my tools and such.

Work 8-4 on the weekdays so that only leave Sat and Sun for me. If you guys get back to me with dates we can set this up.

CI_Josh
05-04-2007, 06:53 AM
Oh and I forgot to ask.

What do you guys think of a 17x7 wheel wrapped in 205/40/17 rubber? For fitments and such.

frozenrice
05-04-2007, 06:59 AM
I can't make it Sat. Don't worry about the tails and stuff. I'll get a set eventually someday. Josh, I've got 215/40/17's on mine and no clearance problems what so ever. If you do lower it, get a camber kit. Tires get expensive.

CI_Josh
05-04-2007, 08:33 AM
Ebay FTW?

Or should I go elsewhere? Camber kits seem pretty simple to me... Or is it something where brand name is better.

CI_Josh
05-04-2007, 08:35 AM
Oh and for the tails are you looking for 2 door tails or 4 door tails? cause I got my set still kickin around if you need the 3 door version.

freakin
05-04-2007, 01:58 PM
205/40/17 is what I ran with a 42mm offset and a rather generous drop...let's call it 3". The only problem I ever had was hitting my header or the front crossmember.

Good news!! I now actually have the CRX's wiring harness in my hands and ready to go. Darren hates me for all of the work I made him do, hehe, but damn it looks good...and OEM. I'm hoping to fire up the motor in the next couple of weeks for the first time (I can't belive I built that over a year ago) and get that car to the track.

Does anyone have any B-series coolant lines kicking around? In perticular, I need the upper hose off of a VTEC engine. My LS one isn't fitting.

frozenrice
05-04-2007, 05:24 PM
Cool Matt

We need to get together. I have a few things for you. How about we try meeting up when Lewis gets those shift boots in? That'll give you some time to get the Rex running.

Josh I think I'm going to hold off for a while on the tails, but I'll definately keep them in mind.

Now that the cat is sort of out of the bag, I did indeed purchase a DA. I just got home with it and it's sitting in the garage. Pictures to follow, but I'm sure some of you know what it already looks like.

Mike, still want to unload that truck? Not that I should be buying another vehicle at the moment.

Ohh, and I'm finally done the wiring and the chasis stuff. Now I just need a cat or test pipe installed, allignment, and finish off the coolant lines and battery cables/grounds. One more solid weekend and I'm done.

Does anyone have a lower rad hose kicking around? The one that I installed doesn't want to fit. I managed to get a new upper off of Darren, so that's sorted out.

Dan and Lewis, I called both of you back today, but didn't get a hold of either of you. I'll likely be plugging away tomorrow afternoon again.

Your best bet for a black interior is to visit the junkyards. I'm not sure if it's still there, but there was a da at buck's auto and I've heard there were a few das at PYP.

I have a black dash and a black center section. They can be yours for the low, low price of 12 bottles of Asahi. I also have black door panels for a 4-door, but that looks like a DA in the pic. Let me know if you need a complete hatch or a 92-93 rear bumper. I need to get rid of those as well. I need to clean out some of these parts I have left over.
