After talking to a couple E46 coupe guys yesterday at the meet about the rear windows leaking... I looked at the rear windows of my E36 coupe and found a fix.
I don't know if this will work for the E46 guys as the windows are power... but for the E36 it works.
The latch mechanism is attached by two bolts right onto the body. I simply shimmed mine out away from the body which in result applies more pressure to the window when it is closed, creating a much better seal.
I didn't take any pictures - but it's pretty easy to understand.
No leaks for me(and less windnoise too, surprisingly.)
