hi all, new to this forum and i hope to learn alot from this place. at age 17, i have been driving my parents 2002 saab 9-3 SE for a while now. i have around 7k-8k right now and i decided to buy my own car. i really love the feel of the turbo in the saabs, and the handleing is friggen awesome. but, while searching for cars, i came across many bmw's at a reasonable price (7k) so my question is, should i buy a saab 9-3, or should i buy bmw 325i? both would be in the late 90's probably with around 100,000 miles on them. basically i want a fast car, but still trunk room so i can fit my bicycle. ideas?

u'd have a lot of trouble finding a late 90's 325i for 7000 and u would not be able to find a 9-3 for that price at all.....but i suppose u could go with an older 325 like a 92 or summtin and they are nice cars:thumbsup: or u could go with the 900s if u really like saabs

o sorry, i forgot to say USD, im over in massachusetts. but i have found hundreds of saabs and bmws that price range. i know bmw has alot of aftermarket parts, where as saab has almost none, so i think ill get the bmw. speaking of aftermarket products, who sells alot of stuff for bmw?

go to www.tunerworks.com, check out all their product lines. many of the main bmw parts makers are there

There's a BMW owners club on this site. They probably can help you better. Also see if there are any MA forums, those people should be able to hook you up with local folks.

You need to have folding rear seats in order to accommodate your bike. With the seats folded down, a bike can easily fit with only the front wheel removed. Maybe you can store a bike completely in the trunk if you took both wheels off and removed the seat, but I haven't tried this myself. Of course, this will largely depend on the size of your bike frame.
