Just got my winter tires put on and my steering wheel shakes quite a bit when i go above 40 km/h??
any idea what the problem could be???

(rubber was brand new by the way, just got it mounted on my old alloys)

The tires could be out of round and need buffing.

same problem with mine. go back to the shop you got them installed at, and get them re-balanced. if it still shakes, get a wheel alignment.

just came back from the shop where i got it done, turns out that my front right tire rim is bent so i hafta go buy new alloys or steelies, he said 2 of them should be good. so i'll have 2 steelies as well as 2 alloys.
Because the front right rim is bent it causes my steering to shake and while driving abouve 40 the right tire is very wobly and looks loose when driving. Does this make sense?
Also where can i buy 2 steelies for cheap. Rubber is 205 60 R 15

Yes a bent rim would cause this, although I dunno why u need 2 of them

he said cuz i have 4 alloys rite now it would be bad for some reason to have 1 steelie and 3 alloys, that i should have 2 and 2 at the least, or if i have enough dough then to buy all 4 steelies and get em all re-mounted.

have different size tires/rims on either side of your car is a bad idea. front to back doesnt matter.

method well yes, but they shoudlnt be ordering liek size 15 steelies if he has size 14 alloys, get the same size in the first place, its common sense, plus, where I used to work, they used everything to the exact same, except for the "style" of the rim, so if you had BFG 175 60 R14 and a 14 black steelie rim, when we ordered replacements, you got a BFG 175 60 R14 with a black 14 rim, so they would match for a reason.

yeah mines 15.....205 60R15 so just gotta order 2 15" steelies i guess? any ideas where?
plus is it bad to drive for the time being (next couple days) with a bent rim and my tire being all wobly and stuff??

I wouldnt recommend it, the tire shop should order them for you. Where did you get it done?

got it done at some garage in NE, i forget the name off hand. Was recommended there by a friend at contemporary.
Anyone know off hand, is it bad to drive with one steelie rim and the other 3 being alloy rims for winter???

Check back at Contemporary for a new set of steelies. Either that or Crappy tire usually has a decent selection of the steelies.
