Carrera GT in calgary!!!

I was just cruising down 1st street SE by tunerworks.. I see like 20 people standing around this freight truck at south center porsche and as the ramp was droping low and behold a carrera GT rolls out of the truck!! Wish I had my camera!!! The delivery guys were all in white coveralls taking inspections ( we wernt allowed within 4 feet of the car). Then the owner steps out of the crowd and fires the beast up for the first time in its existance!!! now thats a nice sound! Buddy then proceeds to drive the GT off the street and into the lot of the buisness, as he does so he goes at a angle so not to scrape the virginity of the beast...the frame on the thing was so rigid that the rear right tire was off the ground going up the like 15 or so % incline!!! Anyway a killer sighting to be had! There was another one in the truck too wonder where its going?

there might be 6 people WANT to buy it .. and since US dollar is so so so stupidly low now .. GT only cost $580K plus taxes ... ( vs if 1 yr ago, would be $750K plus tax ! since they are all in US dollar ! )

However .. Calgary can only have Carrera 2 GT from Porsche Canada ... :drool:

LOL, I know what you mean, but seeing as how I was referring to a Porsche dealership, I would hope no one would think I mean Ford GT... Even though the Ford GT is a sick car as well.

I was at MCL where the owner showed off the car. Apparantly he's some internet kid that made it huge. Upgraded from a base Boxster to the CGT! Good old university dropouts! :rofl:

Yup, that would be the nicest car in Calgary IMO.

That is truly a car worth dreaming about owning. Let's hope the owner tracks it and beats it like it deserves. The car wasn't made for doing the speed limit driving in the City.

The only roads in the City that should see are the ones on the way to the track!

Nope the owner is not connected to the oilers, so far every guess to the owners is wrong, both of them requested not to be identified.

Calgary MAY get a third car but that is not been confirmed, this truck had already delivered three others before these pics were taken. The speed Yellow is certainly groovy!

For those people who claim to be 'on the list' there is no list, Porsche will gladly build you one if buck up.

maybe it's just me, and probably is, but after seeing a GT 2 on a once a week (or more) basis while working at a higher end golf course during the summer....

i am the only one who thinks the GT 2 is way more stylish and a way nicer car than the GT.....like racetrack, ok go with the GT.....cruising around town though? i dont know.......

just curious who else thinks, if anyone, that the GT 2 is a more attractive car

that's a sick sick car, no doubt... but comparing it to a CARRERA GT... i would think IMHO it's NOT EVEN IN the same league. I think it's the same as comparing an Integra Type R to an NSX.

C4S - Did the sales staff open up the engine cover, and doors to let you take pics because you know someone there? Or are they being pretty accomodating to people simply coming in to ogle it?
