changing lock cylinder

I need to fix the door lock cylinder on an 89 S10, problem is, ive never done it, but ive looked at it and it seems pretty straight forward.

Just wondering if anybody has any tips that might help me out along the way.

you will need some specialty tools. One to compress the steeing lock thing so that you can take the lock out. second you need steering whell puller ..
