ports?

i have built a sub box for 2 15" Sony xplods. what is a port, how do i make it, where do i cut the hole, and what else do i need to know (in general)?

you can buy ready made ports and cut them to length, you have to choose the size of the port according to the size of the box, different size ports will give the box different tuning frequencies and that will have a big impact on the sound of your subs, just adding ports to a sealed box usually doesn't work because ported enclosures and usually bigger then sealed ones, unless ofcourse your box was too big to begin with.
