the electromotive website says their only canadian dealers are out west in ontario, however i'm confident that there must be someone on this side of the country that should have easy access to them. WHo would that be?

While we're talking about this, what's the going rate for a tec3?

When buying a standalone, look for support, rather than price. Buy a unit from the states (or edmonton in this case), who's gonna help you with the wiring, setup, tuning, etc?

I know 2 other people running TEC3's on 944's, I am only considering it, since I had an opportunity come up to snag a 2.7L engine (minus head) dirt cheap, has a spun rod bearing, so I was considering building a 3.0L turbo =) I'm reasonably skilled with electronics, so I wasn't too worried about the support. As long as they provide me with all the specs I need, it should all go okay =)
But I totally hear you about the support issue. Say I do run into an issue, who to call?... I thought all TEC3 units came with 6 hours tech support from Electromotive?

$1900 isn't too bad, I've seen them around $3500US, that scared me away from the project, but $2k canadian is quite reasonable.

TEC3 support is horrible, this is why I stress you should purchase from someone that KNOWS the system inside out. Their software is terrible, really buggy, and it took a while before I got a hold of one of the programmers at TEC that was half smart. Even with that guy it took a while to figure out what the problem was. They need better programmers at electromotive.
