So I am thinking about getting a new car. I am not really sure what is out there, I havent kept up on new cars lately. But my fiances car kicked the bucket and I dont want to have 2 used cars as I just got rid of my last car for a used one.

So I think i will buy a new one for some reliability. I am going to go check out an srt4 (no surprise right).

What else is out there? I seen the thread on the cobalt, but I need a 4 door (not sure if it comes in a 4 door). Give me some ideas, and oh ya, I want somthing no more than 28k list price.

TSX isnt a bad car depending on what ur looking for. its not too pricey, 4 doors, its not fast but not the slowest thing on the road, and u get honda reliability. what are you looking for in your car anyway? just somehting to get u/ur fiance around?

well, something nice and with some decent power, we drive out to bc through the rogers and salmo-creston pass a few times a year so i definately want some decent power. 4 doors cause its more practical and hopefully a tad cheaper on insurance.

i never thought of the tsx, I might check that out also.

Hey Playa...

If you like Jettas I would desperately recommend you to them.

You could probably get a loaded TDI for $28,000 and with gas getting worse and worse I think this engine is the way to go. About 900 km per tank, and diesel is like $0.60 per litre.

If performance is more important though, you might be able to swing a 1.8T or go a couple years old and get a VR6.

Just my recommendation!

You can't really go wrong with any turboed Subaru if you want power and 4 doors.

Srt4 Neons are alright too, and you gotta love the factory support through Mopar and their full warranties that come with their upgrades.

So What exactly are you loooking for though.

Do you want a 2 door or 4 door?

Sporty or luxery.

coupe or sedan.

I would check out the acura EL
or the volswagen GTI, however volswagen dont last long before they break down.
so watch out for that.

a 2004 honda acord is a really nice 2 door sportier car.

There are a lot of choices given the price range. Why don't you name some other variables such as how many occupants are usually in the car?

TSX is nice, Nissan Altima, Mazda 6, Mazdaspeed 6 is nice too and due to come out in the new year :D

As mentioned I want a 4 door only, no 2 door anymore, had enough of 2 door.

I test drove an srt4 tonight, it was pretty quick, probably quicker than I need but it was fun. I can get one of those for under $27k, could maybe get them down a tad more. The one I drove had the extra stereo options, which I think are a waste of money but I dont think theres any in town without it.

I'm going to go drive a pontiac g6 i think see what thats like. probably go test a saturn, cant remember the name. The TSX is way too much money, I need to stay under $27k to be able to afford it.

VWs are just too much money to fix from what I hear and harder to work on, they always seem overpriced. I am not a fan of diesels, too noisy, I can hear the tdis over my radio if its at a normal level usually. I havent checked out any mazdas yet, there is a dealership 200ft from me so maybe I should walk over.

Crap, I think I will have to go uber cheap or a used pos for a vehicle for a while. Insurance wants $415/month for the srt4.

stupid accidents.
