Im at SAIT (taking new media) right now and have a choice to do another year and a half at uofc and receive a Bachelor of Communications degree...I was just wondering if it was worth it or just take the certificate I get and find work or maybe another diploma elsewhere.

I mostly enjoy game design/film/special effects work but wouldnt mind being in more of a corporate environment? Any comments/suggestions?

A bachelors degree will get you further than a certificate in most cases. The UofC is a fun place....you should do that. Its only another 1.5 years. A friend just garduated with her degree last year and now she is an anchor woman in BC.

The bachelors degree will also open the door to grad school (corporate stuff....MBA), law school and other programs. Defenitaly the route I would take.

Please refer to this thread:

And please make sure UC accept your SAIT credits and don't just go by SAIT's word. They usually don't or make you jump thru lots of hoops.
