Heated Seat Problem

My jimmy has front heated leather seats. The passenger seat heater does not seem to be working in either position. The light on the drivers comes on but the passenger light doesn't. Is there anything i can check, i am hoping its a fuse or just an unplugged harness. do i have to unboot the seat to access the harness. It seems to work maybe 1 in 10 but i think that it has recently stopped completly.

Any ideas?

sorry on the s-10 blazer you are correct, it is a replaceable pad... but the 04 esclade i had to dp had a broken element, and so have a lot of gm's....thank you for correcting me

no prob i had to replace one on my jeep too
