im stuck on which one to go with..... ive researched both, both have a wide variety of aftermarket options available which i like.

i like the styling on both, but as far as exteriors go, im feeling the G35 more than the Z. price difference is roughly $4000-5500, pending options. what does everyone think?

as for appearance, if i go with the Z it'd be Yellow, and possibly the 35th anniv edition if it comes to canada

for the G35, it'd be a cherry red coupe, and a stillen body kit would be going on.

also, should i go stillen supercharger or greddy twin turbo? im thinkin the TT way, but has anyone actually driven a ride with the stillen SC's? because apparently they are worth the money you shell out for them from what ive heard.

I love both cars, but i'd have to go with the 350z, but get it in gold if you do

G35 styling is so elegant looking while at the same time it screams performance. I really don't like the interior all that much though especially the cluster lighting up yellow (good idea, wrong type of yellow).

On the other hand the 350z's interior is hardcore sexy. But there are some parts of the car I'm not feelin %100. The rear of the car is definetly not as nice as the rear of a G35.

Personally I'd get a 350Z Convertible, I can't look past the interior of the G35.

god... this is so overrated... it's the same shit different pile story... honda = acura, nissan = infiniti, vw = audi, toyota =lexus, etc

it's just supposedly a more "luxurious" model due to the options and "small" styling changes... it costs the same to make both cars... they just get to tack an extra 3-8 thousand dollars to the price tag once u go up to the luxurious brand name

civic = el
350z = g35
accord = tsx
jetta = A4
you get the picture...

I'd get a 350Z, I see alot less of them on the road, at least in Calgary.

...isn't the G35 less money??
You could get a G35, and then you could be cool and JDM and put the JDM Skyline badges on it because the G35 is the new R35 overseas. Personally, though, I like the 350 better.

I was under the impression that the warranty was only for the supercharger unit, and that Nissan would not warranty any possible damages to the powertrain due to the install.... :dunno:

the 350z can't even handle a set of golf clubs..

The G35 is more money.

The correct code is V35, Skyline Coupe, Skyline Sedan, G35 etc. The R designation refers to the GTR. There is no R35 as of yet.

u goin for perfromance, then get a 350z and get the twin turbo kit. if ur goin for more stock/luxury ride, then go with a G35.
i'de go with either depending on if i want luxury or performance, (they are more or less the same, but 350z has small things which affect performance).

1/4 mile times at sea level:

G35 coupe: 14.2
350Z track: 14.1

If its any skyline made between( 89-94 = R32) (95-98 = R33) (99-01 = R34)

Yes it is. The G35 is. Direct from the Nissan Japan Site. Dont get the Skyline confused with the Skyline GTR. They are 2 different cars.

Just looked at site and it is wack that the 350Z, G35, fairlady Z and the skyline are the same thing. Only these new skylines are not R** and the GTR has not been made since o1, and 01 4doors are R34s

This require only a simple answer

Back seat:

Yes = G35
No = 350Z

CryoCarnage

yeah you gotta have the back seat.

For the price, I'd get a WRX STI. Has 4 doors, AWD, and will probably kick the ass of a 350Z or G35 (not to mention a huge aftermarket for it).

I like the G35 better, But the 35th anniversary Z might change my mind.

Exactly, the 350z doesn't deliver enough performance to have no back seats. The G will perform almost identically and you have extra utility.

my choice would be the 350Z. the side profile is just so damn hot:drool:

Are there any turbo/SC kits out for the G35? I thought none had come out since it has a drive-by-wire throttle system instead of the 350's drive-by-cable. I haven't been keeping up on it though...

Taken from Nissan.ca regarding the 350Z :

Electronic drive-by-wire throttle - standard.

There are forced induction kits for both cars, they are pretty much identical.

How about the extra 2 seats in the G35? Or maybe the G35's different wheelbase?

Just a couple thoughts.

Thanks for your input. :thumbsdow

anything thats offered as far as forced induction on the Z is also available for the G35. its the exact same block in both cars. and if stillen offers warranty on there SC kits, that may be the way to go.... especially considering my luck with drivetrains.

thanks for all the opinions so far guys. :thumbsup:
