damn it was cold out there on the weekend. I got stuck in cochrane over night on sunday cause i didnt want to head back to edmonton hauling a car with all the freezing rain warnings... good times though.

The roads were very icy.I made it back to Calgary along the A1A ,but every car wasn't going over 40 km/hr til we reached the Calgary city limits.

You didn't need to worry, Adam. I left Cochrane on Sunday night at 9, went straight north on Hwy 22, went east through Olds, onto the 2. I never did less than 110 the whole way. The roads were fine, and there was no traffic, because everybody believed the freezing rain warnings. I was back in Edmonton by midnight.

In case you're all wondering, Penny (the driver taken out by helicopter) is okay. She was taken to hospital as a precaution, and was let out before her co-driver Rome could even get there by car! She's shaken up, bruised, and stiff and sore, but otherwise fine.

Dieselpower91, instead of just coming out to watch, why don't you come out and compete? There's always room for one more car, and there's lots of people (like me) who will help you get started.

I love the old mk 1 ford escorts, being english, I see them as the all time sweet rally car, along with the Mk2 escort.
I'd love to get one over here and make it road legal..sound from their little 1.6 is so nice!

Woohoo another British guy, so now somebody will know what I mean when I talk about some of those cars like the Escort MK2, had many friends with those, aswell as Ford Fiesta MK3.

I'd love to get into Rallying, but damn it would cost so much and I already got expensive hobbies, but my peice of shit Sunfire is looking ruff, so might do some work to that and see what I can get out of it.
