I'm new to 5spds, I have a question for those in the know.
When I lift off the clutch I get nothing, no change in revs, no stalling and an awful smell. What is wrong?
Here is a timeline:
-Go to get a slurpee
-Come to a 4-way stop
-Push clutch in and it kind of clunks
-Shut engine off, turn on again
-Push clutch in and put it in 1st
-Clutch out and nothing
-I start Crying
D16A1 5spd Cable tranny.

You may need to replace your slave cylinder

Where is that? I thought cable trannys didn't have a slave cylinder.
Could it be my clutch is gone? It didn't slip before.

so my guess is that you have a 87-89 integra. frist try adjusting your cable and if that doesn't work it is most likely you clutch is gone

How do I go about that? Adjust at the foot pedal or at the tranny?
I did hear/feel a noise coming from the pedal, would it make sense if the cable came loose? would that cause the clutch to not engage/disengage fully?

I would think if your cable came loose your clutch would stay engaged all of the time and you would grind the hell out of 1st trying to get it in :dunno:

Well at first it wouldn't go into first but now it will fine.
I'm thinking the clutch or related parts are shot.
Anyone want a parts car?
