It might help if you let us know what you want to get out of the car (eg. performance, comfort, reliability...etc).

just something practical to drive around, and also is sorta quik ( can be tuned for speed)... go with nissan sentra se-r spec v. sedan, so it is practical, reliable, FWD for winter, 180ft/lbs 175hp.

Wow, since when can you afford a new car jims? haha

If you're going for a civic si, save a bit more and you can get a mitsu ralliart. I believe they're currently having a 0 down, and 0% for 60 months which is pretty crazy. If i remember corrrectly, the ralliart is a lil over 25k and the 2k5 civic SI is like 22 thou or so

how about a used intergra gsr or type r and u will have some money left to modify it a bit, fun cars to have also reliable and hold their value expecially type r, if u want to sell it down the road .

Go test drive everything and then decide. With winter driving I suggest ordering some winter tires for the car.

Civic/Corolla/Impreza are all pretty good starters.

not sure if you picked up a car yet, but i drive the mitsu lancer ralliart and it fuckin' kicks ass. i paid 21,900 for it too, for the price, it's the best bang for your buck man. 162hp and 162 lb ft torque out of the box and VERY tuneable.

have a look at www.lancernation.net for more info if you like.
Cheers,
Ry

Buy a 2004 SRT-4. around 24K for a new 2004 if you can find one. Now that is Bang for the buck 230hp/250tq, and these are actual wheel hp ;)
