a girl was driving an SUV type vehichle and ran a red light while speeding and talking on her cell phone. She killed a 2 year old and a 5 year old and so far has only gotten a ticket for going through a red light Its really sad. Currently theres no law in Fla about talking on a cell phone while driving. But 2 children were killed because of her.

Sad story though. I dont know how many times I have raged over a woman in an SUV talking on the cell phone. I guess it is for reasons like this that I have so much spite for woman drivers sometimes. :rolleyes:

i definetely think that cell phones should be banned on the roads. i feel like a hypocrite though because i use my phone while driving occasionally, and i always notice that i pay less attention. I hope that they make it a law so that i can at least justify to myself to stop using it. im a hypocritical mess sometimesm, haha.

well i pulled this off NASIOC and apearently this girls parents are loaded, the police took away her blue SUV that was in the accident, for investigation of course. shortly after her parents bought her the same SUV in a silver colour, she lives in the smae area that the childrens parents live in, and recently she was seen leaving her aparment complex, ducking from the Media, got in her car and drove away while talking on her Cell phone... some people just dont learn.

its in my opinion that this incident is not solely this 22 year olds fault,
but also the fault of the parents who let thier kids out at night, let alone a 2 and 5 year old. it was more or less two bad situations put into one bad spot to be in at the wrong time.

As someone else already said, it's not only the girls fault but who lets a 2 and a 5 year old play like that? I'm not saying the girl is not at fault...because odds are she wasn't paying attention but at the same time, those parents shouldn't have had their kids in the street!
In my neighbourhood there is a family that always lets their little kids play street hockey and stuff on this blind corner. I try to remember to slow down a lot now just incase they're there but if I didn't drive it everyday I could easily have hit one of them by now. Funny thing is that the parents stand in their driveway glaring at me when I have to slam on my breaks to slow from 30 to 5 because their child is running out into the street!!! How about they get a fucking clue and make their kids play down the street a bit where they can be seen or not let them play out at night wearing dark clothes

Ya, they were crossing with their mom, who from the picture didn't look like a small lady...it seems odd to me that her kids got hit and she didn't. Without any witnesses or anything its tough to no what happened, most likely: a) her kids were happy and excited and went onto the road before she could stop them, or b) They were all in the path of the car, but her natural instinct to get out of the way to save herself kicked in, but the kids didn't, or c) She assumed the car would stop and they just walked out or something

But its really not the moms fault very much at all, the other bitch shoulda been paying attention. It's kind of like if I'm at a shooting range, and there's somebody standing between me and the target and i can clearly see them. Driving for not even a year I have the common sense to, when my cell is ringing (which I keep in the change tray) I had the instincts to say "someone grab that" in the car, or if I'm on my own I pull over (when safe, of course..Mirror, signal, headcheck, pull over) Or just miss the fucking call.

I don't understand how this happened.... Where was she looking when she was driving....Can't you see a green light go orange, then red, from fairly far away - even out of peripheral vision? Did she not check her speedometer at all? Did she not see any other cars stopped or anything like that? Like what the fuck. Was she talking on the phone and writing a note down in a book, resting it on the steering wheel?

Don't they have car kits for obvious reasons? You wanna talk on your phone huh...well do it hands free so you can pay attention to the fucking road.
