I wonder if our diesel would be good enough for this car! Do you guys think it will sell well in Canada?

Our diesel is good enough...its 100x better than the diesel in say India. The worst story I heard about was diesel MBZs having problems in India because owners were fed up since they had bought a diesel MBZ...but the diesel quality was so shitty that their cars would not run...so I don't think I'll complain about our diesel again :D

I am thinking that this car will sell great. People are FINALLY realizing the benefits of driving a diesel. I saw a ton of CDI's in India this past summer....they are SUPER quiet. Great cars

Yeah, AMAZING torque propels the car to 60 almost as fast as the E500...

I'd consider it if I were not so fond of the V8 sound and lack of clatter sound... :D

The good thing is the new diesel cars sound nothing like diesels.

Thats not a good thing for the 500...damn. I hear the mileage on our diesels are damn fine too.

Well, the torque is fantastic, making the acceleration great for around town and short bursts etc, but the HP difference of the 500, makes it a CDI killer on the highway or at higher speeds.

That car is pretty hot, but as good as it is, it won't sell extremely well here....

Speaking of killers... I was in Hyatt Benz the other day and was checking out the CL65 ///AMG...600+Hp650+tq "Bi-turbo" all for the great low price of $265,xxx I told ther guy Id phone him when the NFL called. Such an amazing car though.

I drove an 04 320 CDI for a few weeks, and I really didn't like it. I'm not sure where the rumors of all this torque comes from.. it really doesn't come on until high speed, and even then it isn't that quick. They really need to do some work on throttle response.

I much prefer the gasoline 320 or the 500.

This car is totally unbelivable, total power. Doesn't seem to be engineered properly however, just because its a super heavy car, and though a track racing situation sucks because it can't handle very well. But in a straight line, watch out.

I still love the car, and is quite possibly if I were given a choice of any car in the world, I just might pick it. Total Luxury, total Speed.

^ LOL yeah MB has no idea how to engineer cars..its a grand touring coupe, not a race car!
