I am most likely going to be picking up an 04 SRT4 maybe this weekend but if not definately next week.

Now, I know the turbo timer isnt needed for average driving, but I am not average and the turbo timer wont hurt and definately give peice of mind right.

So, what is a good, and not too expensive one I can get for this car? Too bad mopar doesnt make one.

Also a catch can, where the heck can I pick one up? Should be a simple install right?

I am getting the car for about $25k including freight, tire levy, all those extras, just not gst, good price? Its loaded.

I have an HKS turbo timer and I love it. Harness just splices right into existing wires. All you have to do is hook up an e-brake wire. This so if you leave the car and it is still running, some jackass can't steal the car cuz as soon as the e-brake comes off, it kills the engine.

Pdm-racing sells their own. It's $66.50 US, their located in Vancouver, but use American on their site for some reason. All catchcans work the same so you may as well get a cheaper one if you can. The only differences will be fitting sizes depending on the vehicle. I don't know what size srt-4s use.

Another option is to just use a filter.

I like the Blitz Fatt turbotimer it costs less than hks' and its really easy to mount anywhere because the control unit is separate from the brain.

I bought my catch can from Best Buy. $80

Why do you need a turbo timer?

yea, i dont see a point in having a catch can on a car designed for boost. maybe if it was a honda or some shit.

well, I see the point so...thats why I was asking about the parts, not the opinions ;)

I'll go look for some cheap catch cans, i dont think its worth paying for a greddy one, I could put 2 in for the price of that one.

nope, it has a water cooler center section, pretty much eliminating the need for TTs, but people like them anyways, I"ve seen them called 'auto timers' and used on s2ks, and celicas and shit.

How does this one work?

its pretty much a checkvalve that is welded into your exhaust system and then you run a piece of heater hose from your crank case to the check valve.

$50 for 2 of them at mopac

yea, its not as bling as a greddy catch can, but it works and only costs $25 if you find someone else to buy the other one off of you.

Yes ive seen quite a few installs on the net using like air compressor line filters and such. I might do that cause I gotta put a bunch down on the car so money is tight for the rest of the month.

I got my buddies shop to call and they wanted $85 for the mopar BOV which seems kinda expensive. Anyone know where else I could get it cheaper? It retails for $60 USD I beleive and that 85 was their shop cost which is stupid.

the mopar "BOV" isn't really a blow off valve, its a piece of metal you insert to vent your current blow off valve to atmosphere
