Canadian 240sx SE Model 95+ Question!

ok i have friend that has a "SE" canadian 240sx 1995....


what exactly comes standard on an SE canadian 240sx 95+?

i heard its the same as the USDM...whiteface gauges, 5 lug. moonroof and optional LSD, Lip, foglights and spoiler?

my friend's "SE" is four lug no lip, no foglight, black face gauges, no moonroof, but has power windows and locks....

is this a real SE 240?

SE is not base on the Canadian Spec, and no its not the same as the US. The SE was the top model US Spec car.

^that pretty well covers it. i hav a 95 se, it should be the same as ur base american model. 4 lug, a/c, abs, power windows, power locks, power mirrors.

yes so your se is almost equvilent to our Le...

which means
our le comes with leather seats, rear sway bar, 5 lug and other gay options.


LSD is standard.

moonroof is optional on SE models
not all LE's have LSD, it was optional so if you got ABS then you had LSD and vise versa

SE model here, got moonroof, no abs, no lsd, 4 lug, power everything and spoiler. Also, no front spoiler or fogs.

Nissan isn't even sure about the numbers of SE and LE and what options each came with. Mine is an SE, same as Motiki's but has the LSD.

yea, i did that a while ago back in te summer and i got 2 , but this dude told me that he has a buddy that works on these cars all the time and that no se came with lsd.:dunno: maybe he just dont kno his sht.

Statick, as long as the 2 stripes were simmilar length and darkness then you have the lsd. The guy may have the SE confused with the LE (I believe that it was a rarely used option on the LE) while the SE was more common with the LSD..

^kool kool, while we're on this topic, an s13b will run 16.3 on the quarter mile and a s14 will run 16.1 (these are both factry rated 1/4 mile times). but the s13 is about 75 pounds lighter, and they hav the same motor...whats the deal with that??different ecu? any1 know for sure?

s13's had the sohc, s14's have dohc

^precisely, what i wanna is that if they had the same motor, same power/torque, same 5spd FR set up, and the s13b was lighter, why is the s14 track rated at a faster time than the s13b (16.1 as opposed to 16.3) ?????

I think someone on freshalloy explained it once as the better powerband on the S14 due to ECU and cams (it actually has a lower redline then the s13). They may have the same peak HP, but i think he said that the s14 motors actually put out more power across the powerband overall.

Someone correct me if i'm wrong, i haven't owned a 240sx in 3 years and am definately out of the loop now :)

all i know is that my DOHC s13 leaks like a bitch.... this is week 5 and found another leak....BAH!
