I use a notebook cooler with my home laptop. Keeps the laptop about 10 degrees cooler than without a cooler, or just keeping it level. Works awesome.

I dont know, you shouldnt have to buy a cooler just to get better performance when already spending $xxxx on the laptop itself. But Im always trying to find ways to make it more comfy to use if there is anyways and without breaking the bank.

I don't actually use the laptop keyboard or mousepad, so there's no comfort issue there. I have it hooked up to a regular keyboard and mouse.

Yeah, some docking stations are for ultraportables or big laptops that want to minimize weight. Some have external keyboard/mouse connectors, extra USB ports, Firewire, etc. They are pretty handy.

Well a laptop is going to make a lot of heat no matter what. My laptop has a fan blowing hot air out of the side, back and bottom and it still gets so hot. For the first two hours of use its fine but after that it starts to get so hot my hands start to cook haha.

Does anyone know where these coolers are sold? I need one bad.

You can find them at London Drugs. There's a couple versions, a flip-up version, another one similiar to in the picture and one that plugs into an open USB port (not needed) which has 3 small fans on the bottom.

That's why I use the Centrino notebook for school, and the AMD64 one for home.
