do they? or do they just leave you a notice in with your regular mail? should it take them 3 days (counting yeasterday's holiday though) to bring a package from edmonton?

3 days is a little long for Xpresspost, I can usually get something to Vancouver/Winnipeg from Calgary in under 2. But don't forget about the holiday yesterday. Ask the sender for a tracking number and track it online.

yeah, i get those things in 2-3 days max.. they're quick.

They will try at some point when you aren't home. Then they will store it at the nearest post office.

Yes, and it won't be available for pickup until the following day. You also need ID to show you live at where the package was addressed.

Yes they do deliver to your house. All regional shipments via XpressPost are guaranteed 1 day delivery.
