Computer acting up again

My computer has been acting like a bitch again, my computer makes a funny noise, and then the screen turns black staying that way until i hold the Power button to turn it off.

Heres how it starts to begin
-Makes a light grinding noise inside the system for about 10 sec
-Monitor turns off, but power light is still on
-tower is still on with both lights red and green still on.

Last time i made this thread i vaccumned like somebody said and then i did the same thing but still continues to blank out

Any information would be helpful, i need to fix this problem by tomorrow.

If you're PC is making a grinding noise, that's not a good sign. Possibly hard drive failure (grinding noise) or your heatsink is failing (sometimes a grinding noise, usually a whining noise) causing your PC to overheat and thus shut down.

1.) I would open the case and make sure all the fans are running.

2.) Run a hard drive diagnostic tool to make sure the hard drive is running ok. If you know the make of your hard drive, goto your manucature site and download their diagnostic tools. Else try googling "Hard drive diagnostic tools".
