it's not that bad. we have some new WRX's and even an STI come out. also some RSX's most the time it's snow and ice. so not much to worry about. just lots of sideways action .

Well maybe I'll give it a shot, we'll see, I'll defenatly come out and check it out, maybe even use the camera for recording some of it.

Hey Kris!!

Being the new rally director, does that mean you are forced to organize the TSD events, thereby taking yourself out of contention and finally letting the GTX win an event?

Let me know if you need help on a TSD or two.....Jeff and I have been kicking around the idea of organizing one....

nope i just make sure there is people to do them. if not then i do it. well no i am wanting to organize too. but there is organizational points so it won't take you out of the running if you organize. check your e-mail.

What tires are people running on??
I might like to make an appearance with my Civic wearing winter tires.

4WARNED
12-21-2004, 09:20 AM
Those will be good enough to run......Tires range from all-season to winters to studded to gravel tires......some will show up with a couple of sets and change them as the conditions change. We've even had some tires with sheet metal screws in them for the really icy events. The Dec.2 race was better tackled with gravel rally tires, but if i remember correctly, there were only two cars who had them.

The tire choice doesn't change the class that you run against either .....it's still AWD in one group, RWD in another and FWD in the final group.

It's a pretty laid back atmosphere and you can pretty much run anything on any tires as long as it's licensed, insured and passes tech.

ahah think the 02 Trans Am would do any good in it? its pushen just over 400rwhp.. i dont even think the Pirelli winter tires would even be able to help me.

4WARNED
12-30-2004, 09:36 AM
We do have a mid 80's Trans Am that comes out to the events...... i do believe that he has the most fun and is fairly competitive with his times.

It's run what you brung...as long as it's registered, insured, and passes tech...although i seem to remember that you can't run a rental car......for club insurance purposes and other obvious reasons......

its a bit late, but does anyone have a set of 14" winters or even all-seasons for me to borrow for this?

Next event is Jan 23rd Come on out and have some fun.

01-03-2005, 03:09 PM
Are there any pictures from the one that was to have run on Jan. 2nd. Or just the other day...

I'd be a lot more interested in running the course if it was covered in snow. Can't imaging trashing my car through the rocks just yet...LOL. But if it was all snow, now that'd be fun!

If there is still snow on the ground on the 23rd, I might come out and give it a whirl.

Sounds like fun.

i am sure there will be some pics soon, there was some people with cameras. the snow is definatly more paint friendly than the gravel

Anyone know if you can rent a helmet for this just like the summer autox?

4WARNED
01-23-2005, 09:51 PM
The club does have a couple of loaner helmets available at no charge....although they are kept under a watchful eye now as someone decided they needed one of them to call their own....

Yeah thanks, I found that out when I was there today...lol I hope to pick one up soon. Certainly before spring.
