what kind of turbo are in those dodge engines like the daytona, sprint etc that have TURBO written on the gray valve covers? also what kind of turbo does the Ford probe and mazda 323 have?

Depends on the year and engine. 84-87 non-intercooled had Garett T03, 87-89 intercooled had Garretts as well but had a different compressor cover and were a blow through throttle system. 89-92 2.5 non-intercooled had Mitsubishi TD05H's. There was also a garrett VNT turbo on some in 90-91.
Not sure about Ford/Mazda.

most of the dodge turbos have a really shitty compressor housing, makes mounting a filter to them a real bitch, not to mention chrysler T3 exhaust housings, arn't a 'real' T3 bolt pattern.

dodge has a specific flange, and the are bushing turbo's, not ball bearing.

Ford and mazda have a few different kinds of turbo's in their cars.. all made by IHI, all really small. I'd go with the dodge turbo..Or T-bird's kkk

^ i'm making a custom adapter plate with the gasket so i should be good with this turbo...umm does anyone know what the wastegate PSI is set at? i'm guessing somewhere around 5-9PSI T03 turbo? also since it is internal wastegate and therefore not adjustable and the spring cannot be changed could i change the whole wastegate assembly to one that has an adjustable arm?or would i be better off with some type of boost controller? sorry so much questions haha:burnout:

wastegate depends on the year...
84 - lots, its a dual port unit and with the proper dual port boost controller, it is a HELL of a wastegate can, i'm running one on my hybrid with the dual port boost controller.
85 - 25 psi or so
86-88 - 15 psi
89+ 25 psi or so

canadian daytona - my appolagies, i thought you were talking about the turbine to manifold flange.

yup, the later intercooled cars (excluding the svo's) used an IHI turbo which was smaller then the t3
