looks like condeleza rice got a promotion.

any opinions or theories as to why the influx of mass resignations? (okay, maybe not mass, but 4 people at once and a few more thinking of resigning)

I don't think the White House seemed too surprised when the resignations came in. ie: It was probably already known to some of the more powerful figures like Bush n Cheney.

It'll be interesting to see who else comes in. Since Bush is rather infamous for being easily influenced by his cabinet, it might probably determine whether he's going to swing farther right or a little bit more towards the center. But, personally I doubt its going to have too much impact on the Iraq war.

well Powell should have left 2 years ago when he was against the war in iraq. leaving now was obvious for him.
