Just a heads up for those that are interested.

Advantage Ford - Just off canyon meadows drive / Macleod Trail - has a couple 2005 GT's and a couple 2005 V6 Mustangs sitting in their showrooms. All I can say is I want one. Sorry I didn't have the camera, but its worth checking out in person! It's so sweet with the red or black leather seats / Black interior. The aluminum dash panel, with chrome ringed gauges is just :bigpimp: This car makes me wanna upgrade....bad.

I'm not sure how long advantage has had them. I'm probably a little late on all of this. But anyways they've got a black GT and a mineral grey GT in the showroom. The 2 V6's they've got in there are Legend Lime and Windveil Blue...

 the new Mustangs are awesome! Personally, though, I'd wait a bit for the price to drop, once the initial hype dies down.

Actually that price is really really good, about 8 months ago I was talking to a guy at Woodridge Ford and he had heard they were going to be pushing 50. Also the prices that they are at right now are pretty much the same as the 2004 Mustang. I would doubt we would see a price drop at all.

Side note I asked the guy, I was talking to today, about an SVT Cobra option, and he said they arnt going to be coming into Canada, the Cobra is already out but only in the USA.

The guy you spoke with is a clown.

There are no 2005 Cobra's - end of story. I'm not sure why anyone would assume 50K for a GT, that would be insane... There's no way they would jack the price up that much. The 2004 Cobra's were priced around there, but a GT heh - not likely.

Look for a Cobra in 2007 according to most sources.

I like them, nice change towards a more classic muscle car look. Big  to ford for doing something right
check out Ford mustang @ ford.ca (http://www.ford.ca/english/showroom/FordCars/mustang/default.asp) and watch the video with steve mcqueen, from the classic "Bullitt"

i wnet in to see one with my dad the other day jsut for fun. iwas really dissapointed when i loked close up at the engine bay and interior. interior looks plastic and cheap. the edge of the engine bay where the fenders attach to is all bolted and ugly looking. i think ford could have done a much ncer job cleaning up the look of the engine bay. oh well, guess itll jsut take some customization

It's going to be in the mid 30s for a loaded model. My uncle pre-ordered one already - too bad he's in edmonton :(

The shitty thing about being able to Photo chop half decently is not being able to afford what you create. I would definately have this if money grew on trees for me.

I was at sothland liesure center last weekend and an old guy pulled in with one. Then when we left, he came in behind us and pulled up next to us at a light. We talked to him, asked him if he thought it was pretty quick and everything, he was pretty nice. They don't sound as beefy as they should, but Im sure flowmasters would change that. He chirped the tires and flew through the first 2 gears, it was pretty nice. Cool lookin cars. Too bad that in the next couple years we will see them everywhere

I agree. This is the first Mustang (Ford period) that I would consider owning but probably won't. Ford will sell tons of them and they will be everywhere. Current Mustangs are so "dime a dozen" much like cavaliers, civics, sunfires, etc. that I just can't see myself owing such a "me too" car.:(

I finally got to check this car out and damn... This is odd for me talking about a ford like this but I really like the new mustang. The oldskool styling is awesome! I haven't liked the mustang for years now but I would actually buy this one. Here is a link to my site with a few pics and full specs for anyone interested. 2005 mustang (http://www.supercars.net/garages/Moonracer/215v2.html)

Bump! Found the pic of the Saleen model, I gotta be honest, im a little disappointed. At first it looked like the v6 model with a slapped on Saleen Sticker. :dunno: maybe its just me

http://aa.1asphost.com/DavideITA/2005Saleen.gif Integrated Features:

-bypass for low-speed running helps reduce heat buildup in the engine.
-long, beefy downdraft runners with minimal bends (50 percent increase in flow compared to last year's supercharger)
-maintenance-friendly with only one sealing surface
-second cooler located in the airdam below the engine

The overall efficiency gains - in the engine, the supercharger and the intercooler - mean the new supercharged V8 produces more horsepower and torque at a less stressful 6-7 psi boost than last year's supercharged engine at 7-8 psi. The S281 SC cranks out a neck-snapping 400 horsepower, 25 more than last year's S281 SC, and 420 lb-ft torque, 5 more lb-ft than in 2004. The 400 bhp figure matches that of the 2005 C6 Corvette.

It is just you. Look at the size of the wheels on that thing. A V6 couldn't even turn those wheels  This car has badass written all over it.

Rim / Tire Sizes:

Front: 275/35ZR20's (20"x9" wheels)
Rear: 275/40ZR20's (20"x10" wheels - optional)

If you've got quicktime installed on you computer. You can watch the car spin on a turntable right on Saleen's site. All the specs for the S281, and the S281 SC can be found there as well.
