what does this mean in terms of a boost. (on the gauge). I always figured it was like 1.0 bar to 10 psi and 1.5 bar was 15 psi. is this correct?

1 bar is roughly 14.5 - 14.7 psi.

1 bar is 10kPa....roughly 1 atm....so yea 14.5 psi

Yup, and for the geeks...

1 bar = 14.50377 psi
1 bar = 0.9869233 atmosphere
1 bar = 100 kPa
1 bar = 29.52999 inHg
