my O2 sensor on my civic has only one wire, can i tap that into my autometer a/f gauge?

yes, yes you can.

Autometer o2 guages don't do much. It's basically a dancy light and won't give any usefull information. If you're just putting it in for looks fine, but I wouldn't try using it as tool for tuning because it will be nowhere near acurate.

^for real? well i just wanted to keep my a/f at stoich when i hit boost and make sure i know it doesn't go too rich or too lean, i'm running an SAFC with DSM 450's. I know its not even close be tuned but its better then using a FMU and an A/G gauge agree?

you don't ever want to be running at stoich durring boost, with a compression ratio of less then 9.5:1 the recomended air/fuel ratio is 12.5:1. stock one wire narrowband o2 sensors do not have a wide enough range, you'd need a wideband o2 sensor to do that (~420$ canadian) dynometers are usually equiped with one of these aswell. :)

would a 4 wire O2 sensor make any diffrence? its just more accurate quicker cause it is heated correct? damn wideband tunning is so expensive lol

what do you think blowing up an engine costs cause you are running at stoich under boost?:dunno:

i didn't mean 14.7 at boost i know you have to run richer then that. I was trying to say that i wanted it to be at stoich (very least) to rich when i'm at boost. Not knowing what the exact A/F ratio is of course so ballpark figure. :burnout:

4 wire out sensor is just a normal 02 sensor, except with a built in heater, to reduce emissions when the car is cold, I've noticed that while my car is still cold, it tends to run a bit more lean durring cruising (more gas milage for me :D) A wideband o2 sensor has 5 wires, and you need a 'controller' to actually read it, calibrate it, heat it.

If I were you I would either save up for a wideband, or just get the car dyno tuned was its running.

on the 4 wire o2 sensors what wire do you tap on the hondas though..? with the air fuel gauge by autometer

there are two grounds, a positive, then a output, I dunno which wire it is tho, check with a multimeter and you'll find out.

OKay, bringing this back to tha top.

On my Eclipse I also have a heated 4 wire. I hooked up the sensor wire to the ecu wire.

I am going to install one on my friend acura today and i don't feel like checking all the wires.

which one?
