what do you guys think of the layout? i personally think it sucks, bring back the old one. the layout was simple and straight forward, this just plain sucks monkey ass

The old one was great. I could switch between 3 car models in like 5 seconds. Now I gotta go select the make and all that shit again.

oh i know! and i love how they leave default 2000-2005

yeah its totaly bs....they should have fixed the bugs of the first one...not totaly rebuild the interface

Yeah... I totally agree. went on a few days ago.. And its way more complicated to use... All I want is the Advanced search, which is basically what the old site was...

And, its such an amazing site, that when I tried updating using the bar on the right hand side after searching for one car... it told me there were no 92-95 civics within 100kms on sw calgary, lol...

What a POS. The "Modify/Refine Search" doesn't do anything. Have to re-enter all the search data.

Its not that bad. Just click on "Advanced Search". Once I do that i find it faster and easier to use than the old version.

I checked it out on Monday and yes the new updated site completely sucks. I'm going to write them some negative feedback on their webpage. :thumbsdow Bring back the old version!!!

I just tried to search for a specific vehicle / year. Ah duh, and of course, it comes up with a whole variety of cars - none of which were things I'm searching for!!

Granted, if you go back to the 'start' of the search, and refill in all the info, it'll work right.

But yeah, I'm not liking this format at all...:guns:

Its horrible its slower now sometimes it won't even work right plus its way more confuseing to navigate. There was nothing wroung with the old one go back to the way it was or fix this new one!:banghead: :guns:

Meh, works fine for me, just a helluva lot slower now. I like the fact that you can start another search on the side without haveing to press the back button a bunch of times now. IMO format has slight gone up performance has gone way down.

you never had to hit the "back button a bunch of times" you could just click on "cars" and then it would set you back to the search the way you left is

ie: if i searched honda civics 1988-2002, browsed through 4 pages or so and decided "nah fuck this i want a prelude" and clicked "Cars" on the left panel it would set everything exact so

Honda
Civic (which this would be only thing id change)
1988
2002

much more simpler

this new layout just looks cluttered

It's like they purposely went out of their way to make it harder to navigate. This is one of the worst search interfaces I have ever seen. I just cannot believe that management at canada trader sat at a table and said: "that's it! that's a big improvement on the old site. this will make it so much easier and user friendly for users." Big, Big thumbs down.:thumbsdow

I think they update the ads on monday morning. The paper copy comes out thursday and the site usually has the new stuff after the weekend :thumbsup:
