Im going down to Grand cayman and Jamaica in a few weeks. My friend asked me to bring him back a box of cigars. I was hoping someone could answer my questions.

How much did they cost you and what brand did you purchase? Im just trying to get an idea of how much money i will need to bring down.

Being that I have to travel back through the U.S. I understand that i can't bring any Cubans back. Other than that have you experienced any other problems?

Thanks for your help,

Mike

your allowed one box per adult i believe, and they range form 10/200+ a box, you can get decent ones for 20-30 us though, they sell cubans there so be careful what you buy so the customs agents dont take em home for themsleves to enjoy,
on a sidenote grand caymans an awsome area for the day i spent there, excellent shopping and stuff to do

buy a box of something good, then buy a single cuban or two, and put them in the bottom of the box. They won't root through all that....although maybe now they will....in 2000 they took away a freaking nail file, out of our luggage (not the carry-on either) in the states, so I can't imagine what it must be like post 9/11/2k1.

thats treu buy some cubans and switch out the bottom layer on the box, a lil costly but way better imo

I think you can bring back 50...

is there anything you have to do about the humidity? I'm going to the dominican and was thinkign I'd put the box into a ziploc with a wetted paper towel?
