Arctic Start RT1WR Remote Starter

I have a remote starter in my car. The model number on it is RT1WR it is installed in a 97 VW Jetta GT man. tranny. I have had problems with the starter before, but the installer refuses to give me an installation guide to help me out... so here I am.

The problem is I hit the start/stop button just as the car was remote starting one day, and now when I go to start the car... the light error means the engine is already running....

any ideas on how to reset this?? Any help here would be appreciated... thank you.

Try turning valet mode on and then off. If that does not work unplug all the plugs in the unit for about a minute, then plug them back in.
I had one unit that did this before.
