just found this out @ the costco counter...

"Effective November 4th, 2002, Costco Wholesale¡¦s desktop and notebook computer return policy is six-months from the date of purchase. After six-months from the date of purchase, all service and technical support will be subject to the applicable remaining manufacturers' warranty."

so...costco gives 6 monthes to their customers to decide whether they should keet it or not??? it's way much better than the 14 days futureshop's return policy......:D

Last I checked you need your Costco card to buy stuff and to return stuff. That should have a ton of your or your parents information. Sooooo, remember that when you try to scam their system. They're easily tracking what you buy and what you return. Don't push it too much and get your ass banned from there.

They've got a great return policy for honest customers, so hopefully they don't take it away or change it. They aren't as dumb as you may think, they know what they're doing.

^^Exactly, the only reason they are so leaniant when bringing in returns, is because they aren't really loosing much. Just think how much that store must sell in a day, its all wholesale, and there is always people from stores buying thousands of dollars worth of product each day, so for them to take back a $500 computer, they are to worried over it.

Costco is great for returning computer items.

At one time I had a 17" monitor that crapped out after 2-3 years of using it. By then it was out of warranty and we tried to return it to costco just for fun. They actually took it back and gave us a full refund, no questions asked. Not a credit or replacement, but cash refund.
