the deck i have is a cheap sony im not sure if it comes with an equalizer. i just bought it for cds, im probably gonna hook up a mtx 1500wat to my 1030w and my buddy might be selling me 2 12" type R's ......... whats a different option if my deck doesn't come with and equalizer?

do you mean pre-outs? If your deck doesn't eq it's preouts or have sub out controls, you will have to do it manually on the MTX amp.
