Finally found a clutch for a very good price but person I'm picking it up from in the U.S will only ship through UPS and also USPS is very slow around this time of year. Question is if I have it overnighted can I avoid all the brokerage fees. If it does then it's worth the extra cost.

ups charges the brokerage fees not customs, there is a thread on how to declare your own goods and avoid the fees just search for UPS

I heard somewhere if it's overnighted the brokerage fees are already included in the cost. Just wanted to make for first before I get bent over twice.

Just bend over and take it, everyone needs dominated occasionally

Have you tried emailing the company? If you ask nicely they may make an exception for you and send it via some other method. Mind you, USPS took over a month to get my clutch to me:banghead:

If you send it via USPS 2-3 day delivery, it should come quite quickly. Mine took about 8 days for my clutch from California using USPS 2-3 day

I thought FedEx air was the only one that waived the broker fees (it's included).

I'm about to have some springs and shocks shipped - anyone tried DHL yet?

Prepare to be ass raped. Unfortunately, I will only purchase from companies that ship USPS. If they don't, they don't get my business. Email them and ask them to ship USPS and see what they say. I've never seen anyone flat out refuse to.

I think if you get it shipped overnight theres no duty and brokerage.

Just thought I'd post that I got owned again. I specifically said no UPS but the 2nd suplier ignored the request. The first guy will probably split the cost with me though.

Springs: 240$ (including shipping)
GST/duty: 16.89
Brokerage Fees: 45.65

Yah, I'll do anything to never use UPS.

I ended up going through USPS 2-3 day delivery but I'm still waiting for it. It was shipped Dec 9.
