Fuse for an odometer?

On a car that old it is probably mechanical.

AS for the speedo, buy a GPS.

one of my friends has a car with a speedometer that doesn't work, it's fine, I don't see why you would be screwed if you don't have a speedometer. Enlighten me

i think its illegal to drive the car with a nonfunctional speedo.

very much so. although it is hard to spot once a car has come to a stop... unless it is stuck at a number other then zero. if the cop gets word of a non-operable speedo, he might just give you a warning or he could give you a ticket which last I heard was pretty big (and that was before they upped ticket costs).

And since the odometer and the speedometer doesn't work, i could have a law suit on my ass for fraud.

i wish a cop good luck trying to figure out if your speedo works. how can he possibly find out. i mean when you get pulled over. you are stopped.
