tire sizing

I have some honda civic 15" rims, currently with some 195/60/15 Tires. Just wondering if 205/60 R15 tires would fit on those rims? They were from a bmw 318i, now sitting around gathering dust, figured I'd use them instead of shelling out for new winter tires.

how wide is the rim? if it's an SIR rim they'll fit...

on steelies it might be pushing it.

no problem i have done that to customers cars all the time there is barly a difference

i had SiR rims and put 205s on them it was bulging a tiny bit, smaller width rim wouldnt be that great.

195 to 205 isn't that big of a difference, should be ok.

BTW, your speedo will under report mileage and speed, about 2% less.

if you went with a 205/55 15 it would be 1.4% too fast on your speedo, so 60mph on the speedo would actually be 59.2mph you are going.

imo i would rather it say I am going a tad faster than I am, safer that way.
