I have a Sony Trinitron 17" Flatscreen CRT here (Black) that's in awesome shape and only 1 year old. Has 5 years of warranty remaining and comes with original receipt.

This is the nicest CRT I've ever seen and was purchased for just over $400 (Have receipt)

Model is CDP-E240B

Willing to sacrifice for $200 obo

Make me an offer. This Sony is wicked clear. Better than an LCD I think.

Why do you say that it couldn't be clearer\better colors than an LCD?

No offer to make, man. The only things I have is the monitor I bought from you, which was worth $90, then there's my Nostromo Speedpad N50, which I'm trying to sell for $25. I do have a TV convertor for GBA which is basically playing GBA games on the TV but that's a Europe version which means it's PAL. It's worth $30. I also have a Memorex Cordless Phone which I don't use anymore, as well as a LG 52X burner.

Somehow I doubt you're interested in any of these. :P

What's the contrast ratio on that LCD? I assume it's 700:1 or something?

Fusion

800:1 contrast ratio

It's hard for CRT monitors to compete with LCD screens these days. LCDs are naturally sharper than CRTs and they'll improve it constantly to make it even sharper. CRT will become obselete sooner or later anyway.

Once they make LCD's that can run all kinds of resolutions well then they will truly rule the Monitor world.

Technically it can, but it just doesn't look as pretty if it's non-standard. xD

I can't believe nobody wants a very nice monitor.

Anyone that's looking to buy a 17" should seriously consider this one. It's in awesome shape.

Mewfie,

I would trade you some stuff if you had stuff to trade :) :)

I see Moeman has a few items I wouldn't mind having....Maybe a deal can be struck of some sort between the three of us. :) :)

No of course not... I'm just saying... The most I could scrounge up in cash would be close to $70, so if you wanna take some of this stuff, plus 70, i'd be more than happy to take it off your hands. Just an option for you... Are you lookin for anything?

Bigwave

Looking for anything....hmm. I could use a reasonably new full size Socket A motherboard (Nforce2 or similar) Also would be into some PC2700\3200 DDR ram if any was around....256mb sticks or larger.

I am that it would spank lots of lower end LCD's as far as abolute clarity, but LCD's have such a nice natural vibrance to them that CRT's dont. I'm holding out for someone to perfect OLED technology...I think if someone gets it right it could compete seriously with LCD.

Anyways, wayyy OT....free bump for a good seller
