I dunno....the thing looks a lot meaner...but I just don't really like the side profile...looks like a jacked up station wagon from the side..I think it would look better with the rear portion of the roof raised up a bit (ie: not sloping down as much..)

the front end = 100000000000x nicer than the current ML

I like the new BMWs but I think your statement should apply more towards Audi/WV :barf:

As for Mercedes, I love the new style they're coming up with for their cars.

Oh man the side view is about 1.3483 billion times better than the old ML's. The older ones looked really boxy and had no design, IMO (side view only). This is a major improvement, and I know it will outsell the older M-Class. I'm sick of seeing so many X5's in the Uk and barely any ML's. But over all it's pimpin. :bigpimp: :bigpimp: :bigpimp:

:werd: From the side it looks very Volvo like. The wheelbase seems to be lengthened as well, looks like the Pacifica... perhaps it's built on that platform?

But overall, this ML looks 1000x better than the current model.

Looks pretty nice, but looks weren't the biggest problem with the old MLs (although they were pretty ugly). They were built so badly its not even funny. My dad had one, and my next door neighbour had one, and both were full of squeeks and felt really loosely put together. I don't know if they improved that over the years, since this was around 1999-2000 models.

Yea they did, the first year (I think 98) was the worst for ML's). This one should be a lot better.

WOW!

I love it!... I will admit I used to be a huge fan of the ML, but its really outdated now, so this is huge... I think it'll be one of the nicest looking SUV's on the market. I especially love the front end.

The old one looked like a minivan. This is better, but it reminds me of the Rav4.

I don't know why, but this shot says Rav4 all over it.

HAHA i have to say I like the current ML's...mini-vanish yes but imo they look "pleasant" for SUV (if that makes sense)

that new one looks hot..but....we'll see if reliability will be any better then 98-01

If you wonder why it reminds you of RAV4, just compare the side molding and wheel well flare. It's almost identicial.
