Engine Surge in 1st gear

I have an engine surge in 1st gear, after it gets our of 1st gear, its fine. I have put on the coder and get back a msg that its a faulty Knock sensor. Will a "Knock Sensor" produce this effect? or is the knock sensor code being sent due to another problem? Please Reply!

I assume u mean while ur in 1st gear not accelerating?? If so....
I cant see a knock sensor effecting it. Did ur 1st gear never do that before?? cause usually 1st gear is pretty jumpy when not accelerating.

If thats the code then, that is most likely the problem. You should be able to find some data on how to test your knock sensor. I think you ohm them for resistance and it has to be within a certain value.
