when i was going to do my interior of my car i went to a local paint store they asked what type of material i was going to be Coloring and i told them.. they sold me couple cans of paint that worked really well on my old ride.. dont totally rule out the paint stores.. it IS what they specialize in!

oh and Lo Pro Just to rub it in.. yes the paint store DOES carry it.. (dont take it harsh im just playin :nut: )

well its cheep shit that looks fuckian horrible, that stuff will most likely crack due to the changes in temperature during the winter and summer, you have to die it paul for it to look good

actually ya you do get it from canadian tire

its called KRYLON

it can be used for plastic application with or w/o a plastic primer. just sand good thats all. impressions sells krylon for interiors so obviously its for interiors...know wat your talking about before you make someone else sound stupid.

is KRYLON a dye? if its not its garbage. my interior was done in that KRYLON shit before and it looks terrible, PPG line of interior dyes is by far the best.

haha its not the paint, its you. you have to make sure you put a tack coat on, and do a good job sanding. if you intend to paint your interior in an hour and have no skill ya it will look bad. mine looks awesome.

umm trust me i know what im doing, it was also done by pros and still looks like crap compared to the PPG interior dyes. the diffence is that paint chips and cracks because its on top of your interior parts, by dyeing it, the product sinks into your interior and will be alot more flexible. why take your time sanding when your spraying it out of a spray bomb? that shit wont go very smooth, i sprayed the dye out of an air gun and you get way better results.

well it doesnt have to be PPG paint but any vynle dye is way better then garbage out of a spray bomb. most places that sell car paint should have a vynle dye line.

no anything they carry will be crap, advanced coatings has vynle dye, maybe ICI paint?

oh and civic_man you shouldnt sand your interior when painting it, you are just suppose to clean it with soap and water and then use an adhesion promoter just so your paint will stick better.

CIVIC_MAN
12-17-2004, 01:33 PM
no you sand it if u want it to look smooth which is how you get it to go smooth.

civicrider
12-17-2004, 01:39 PM
yeah but sanding will not hold the paint wrong, of course if you want it smooth you sand it but for it to stick you wanna use an adhesion promoter.

i sanded and used an adhesion promoter.

problem solved.
