I think my engine might be fucked. Is anything salvageable? Is it just the valve cover, or probably the whole head? And what could have caused the damage?

For some reason the front part also seems a little bent to me (could be the angle of the pic)...

Im not in posession of the car at the moment, so prolly about 1 week till I can do it...

my guess...

valve cover, mounts maybe, but i think the motor and tranny should be alright :dunno:

i would recomend cutting the whole front of the car off (in front of the strut towers and forward) to make pulling the motor easier.

hope you've got a nice warm garage to push it into.. its cold out in this bitch..
Hopefully its just the timing gear cover part of your valve cover thats busted. If it was directly on like it looks, good chance something like the tranny belhousing has some cracks in it from absorbing some of that impact. Good luck anyways man
