hey guys i have a question

so asshole did a hit and run on me and i have two options

one go through insurance or two pay out of my own pocket. Just wondering if i went through insurance is that would my premuims go out because I hve put a claim through, or should i just pay out of my own pocket.

it depends on how much the damages are - most people have a deductible anyways

If you cant pay your damages then I think you have to go through insurance but there's about a 95% chance your rates will go up if you do.

Call your insurance broker. Asking them would be the best thing to do.

Reporting and claiming a Hit and Run should not cause a rise in rates in Alberta.
