i bought a deck about uhh 3 years ago for a 89 prelude
but then my car got written off hah
so i took out my deck and subs

my question is since i bought a really old deck... am i able to use it into any car? cause when i bought it from future shop they asked what kind of car it was so i thought the wiring might be different or something
right now i have a civic 2k5

For my car i had to get a new wiring harness when i bought my deck cause the wiring was crap. But the guys at Future shop said as long as the wiring harness is up to date it should fit in any car.

just take the deck to a shop and get them to install it. it's only $40 and if they fucked up the harness installing it in your old car, I guarantee you will not want to mess with fixing all their mistakes when you put it into your new car. For $40 you'll get the install kit, which I am pretty sure you need for a 2005 Civic because of the way the deck is in there, and they will do a good job that will never fall apart down the road.
