is that a good price for a prelude?
Weren't Preludes just barely over 30K brand new :Idunno

preludes aren't being produced anymore, so i think it's a pretty good deal. The car is basically new. :thumbsup:

back in 2001 i almost bought a brand new SE for less than that.... imo its not worth it since the car is 2 years old after all...

I think that price is alittle high, 5000 kms is a nice find though...you won't be able to find anymore with kms that low...

no actually my friend bought a 2001 lude a month ago with 0km for 31 000..

Doesn't matter that there are so few km's, its used, and should knock off a few more grand, IMO.

That's a little high, but doesn't seem too outrageous.
The red 98 prelude type SH that's been sitting at north hill mazda for the past 2+ years still has a price tag of $25 +K

It seems as though most hondas keep a pretty good resale value. At times it seems a little outrageous. I remember a friend trying to sell me their 93 accord ex-r last year for $10 000.
I'm really surprised they haven't really dropped the price of the prelude at North Hill Mazda though, I mean the car has been sitting on the lot for so long now... :dunno:
Is it the red one with a spoiler and some pin-striping?

93 - 96 ludes sell from 15 up to 20 thousand, and they are almost 10 year old cars....
Sorry forgot to mention the SR-V's sell for that much.

Yeah, its got the mugen wing and pinstriping. I can't remember when it was brought into the dealership, but I know for sure that it's been sitting on the lot for at least a year.

yea of course hondas have stupidly high resale value...theyre more reliable than a lot of other cars.
even stupid crxes are worth so freaking much...from 4000-9000 for an 88-91

They didn't go for that much. My friend bought his SE brand new in 2001 from T&T for $29000.

the prelude SE i was looking at was going for $28000 at a dealership in edmonton.... this was about 2 years ago. there is no way i would pay $29000 for a used lude. thats more then what they went for new. don't get me worng... the lude is a very nice car but $29k???? 2-3 years old.....

It isn't worth it......you can get Preludes for cheaper! It also depends what type of mods, if any come with the car! haha

No, you don't have to keep on looking yet. Go see the car, and make a reasonable offer. Most prices are set a lot higher than they expect to get, its simple! If you just wait for a good *advertised* deal, you may be looking for a long time!

Well that makes it a bit of a hassle then. Luckily cochrane isn't very far of a drive. Probably take you longer to drive across the city

the price a while ago, and what others bought it for is all good and all, but its what there is now!, what you find now cause its not the same as it was say a year ago, a good find is a good find.
and you can always try to bring the price down?!
cocktown is is 10-20 ? depends what way you take and how you drive.

Fuckin honda resale values. My gf got her 98 SE-R for WAAAYYY cheaper than any 98 civ si would go for and it blows the doors off the si in every possible way
Speaking of which, there is a 98 200sx SE-R that looks great, at Sunridge nissan. only 37ish km's!! There is however, a big ugly racing stripe haha, but its listed for 14 or 15k...which is high but you can bargain it down. Then get a turbo and some goodies for whats left over...SR20 woohoo!

that thing has been sitting there for God knows how long... i think it's 2 years, they wanted 28Geez for it 2 years ago, and it's still sitting there. they think that mods increase the value of a car. i test drove it, and it it seemed really gutless, i couldn't even redline in 3rd. so i think something's wrong. the salesman quickly blamed it on the vtec controller said it was set in fuel economy mode or some shit like that.

yea if you woulda asked me a month or two ago I would've sold for that same amount with everything on the car.
But I've done too much shopping since to change my mind.
