So if a person bought an EG/EK base model hatchback w/ 150K km+ on it, what else should be replaced? With an engine swap, the transmition and factory clutch are usually included I believe, but other parts like axle joint/bearings, bushings, and suspension possibly. What else?
I had a quick look at Super Street's (I think) eg/b16 project car. It was pretty impressive after they were done.
Any estimates on the 1/4 mi time of a civic hatch w/ a stock b16, lightened interior, in Calgary?
I'm just curious.
I'd probably be better to wait save for a lightly engine preped tubro-by-Correy setup on my teg.:)

There's just too much I want to do to it.
92+front
Suspension
1 pieces
16" rota C8's
Different Exhaust/big ass resonator
oh, and then there's the power(lack of) issue.

A eg with a B16 swap will run around 15.5, give or take.
water pump
timing belt, cuz why not, it will be easier than doing it later.

Understandable, why don't you swap the b16 into the teg?

because I like torque.
I'd rather spend that money on new postons + rings and some Crower Cams.

a Lightened B16 in a Hatch w/some bolt ons and good driving should see 14.8's-15.2's depending on driver and traction...

I'd do the swap.
There isn't THAT big of a torque difference.

most guys w/ my car that have done the b16 swap say that they miss the torque, and don't like reving it out all the time to get up to speed.

I think it's probably the power to weight ratio for a B16 swap in our tegs is lower the the B16 swap in a 4th gen civic that's the problem. There's just less weight to get goin' on the civic.
I love  my teg I don't think I could ever give her up:D

Remember I said Bolt ons like I/H/E and good driving ie(voodoo child) plus traction and you can see 14.8's - 15.2's.....

I know of 2 crx's with b-16's and they both run 15.0-15.3. With minimal mods I/H/E.
What shops in Calgary do the swap?! I wanna get it done this summer in my EK!
